Publishing an app means releasing a stable, finished version of your project for users to see and use. While you continue tweaking and testing in your preview (or development) version inside Instance, users only interact with the polished, published version. This way, they get a smooth experience — no broken layouts or half-finished features — while you stay free to experiment behind the scenes. Learn more about publishing.
Can I edit my app after publishing?
Yes, you can make changes to published apps at any time. When you make changes, these are only reflected in your development (preview) version. Can I publish my app on the App Store or Google Play?
Instance currently creates web applications that run in browsers. While they cannot be distributed through app stores, you can use them as Progressive Web Apps (PWAs) for an app-like experience. To add your app to your phone's home screen on iOS, open your published app in Safari, tap "Share," and then select "Add to Home Screen." This also works on Android, where most browsers like Chrome let users install the app directly to their home screen with an “Install” prompt.
